The Brooke Hancock Jefferson Metropolitan Planning Commission (BHJ-MPC) is the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for Brooke, Hancock, and Jefferson Counties. We initiated a Local Road Safety Plan (LRSP) to identify current road safety issues and to develop countermeasure strategies to reduce traffic crashes in the three counties. This plan intends to shed some light over the traffic crash situation and helps to find way to make roads safer. A part of this strategy is a spatial survey system where one can indicate the segment or the intersection, they find crash vulnerable or future high-risk crash locations. The findings of this survey will continuously update the initial ranking generated in this plan.
