Celebrate Trails Day 2025 Hellbender Preserve Grand Opening

Join Brooke Hancock Jefferson Metropolitan Planning Commission, Jefferson County Soil & Water Conservation District, and Rail to Trails Conservancy to Celebrate Trails Day 2025 and the opening of the Hellbender Preserve!
There will be a ribbon cutting along the first piece of the cross-country Great American Rail-Trail in Jefferson County inside the Hellbender Preserve, followed by a short program with dignitaries will commence at 10:30 AM. The day will be full of fun and festivities with partner organizations from around the region–we hope to see you there!
