US EPA Announce the Award of $56.8 Million in FY17 Brownfields Assessment and Cleanup Grants

The EPA has selected the Broke-Hancock Regional Planning and Development Council for a brownfields assessment coalition grant.

The $395,000 Community-wide hazardous substances grant funds will be used to conduct ten Phase I and seven Phase II environment site assessments and create cleanup plans for five sites.  The $205,000 Community-wide petroleum grant funds will be used to conduct seven Phase I and four Phase II environmental site assessments and create cleanup plans for three sites.
