PUBLIC NOTICE-F.Y. 2018 – 2021 Transportation Improvement Program – Revision #6

The Brooke-Hancock-Jefferson Metropolitan Planning Organization is accepting public review and comment regarding a proposed Revision #6 of the Fiscal Year 2018 – 2021 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP), for the Brooke-Hancock-Jefferson Metropolitan Planning (BHJMPO) Region.

The BHJMPO Technical Advisory and Policy Committees will consider adoption of Revision #6 during the regularly scheduled meetings convening at 10:30 a.m. and 12:00 Noon respectively on Wednesday, January 17, 2018.  The BHJMPO will conduct the meeting at the Brooke-Hancock-Jefferson Metropolitan Planning Commission Offices located at 124 North Fourth Street, Second Floor; Steubenville, Ohio. 

Revision #6 includes the addition of the following projects:

In Jefferson County, OH add one (1) Project to Federal Fiscal Year 2018: Replacement of two (2) Transit Buses for Steel Valley Regional Transit Authority (SVRTA), ODOT PID # 107102.

In Brooke County, WV add two (2) Projects to Federal Fiscal Year 2018: 1 – Resurface WV2 and WV27 Alternate in Follansbee, WVDOH Project# U305 002 01067 00 and 2 – Rehabilitation of US22 from Harmon Creek Rd to the Pennsylvania State Line including joint repair, guardrail replacement and drainage improvements, WVDOH Project# U305 022 00317 00.

In Hancock County, WV add one (1) project (two line items) to Federal Fiscal Year 2018: Relocation of WV2 in New Cumberland including the right-of-way phase and the construction phase, WVDOH Project# U315 002 00620 00.

Those persons wishing to review the proposed revision may request a copy of the program of projects by contacting the BHJMPO office at (740) 282-3685 or by accessing the BHJ website at www.bhjmpc.org on or before 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 16, 2018.  The office is located at 124 North Fourth Street, Second Floor Steubenville, Ohio.  Business contact hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. weekdays Monday through Friday.  Direct all inquiries to Mr. David Snelting, Transportation Study Director or, in his absence, Ms. Adrienne Ward, Office Manager.  The BHJMPO will acknowledge e-mail requests and comments at dsnelting@bhjmpc.org.  The BHMPO accepts and responds to written and signed requests only by mail, in person, or e-mail received no later than 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 16, 2018.
